This notice explains how Cantua Home Services handles personal information when you use this website or send a quote enquiry.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Cantua Home Services (Sean Cantua) is responsible for personal information collected through this website in connection with its carpentry and handyman business.

2. Information we collect

• Your name, phone number and any details you type into the quote form.
• Which page and method you contacted us through (for example, "WhatsApp" or "Email"), so we can tell how the form is used.
• Basic technical information generated by Cloudflare Turnstile, the tool that checks a form submission is from a real person rather than a bot.
• If you accept optional cookies, anonymised analytics information about how you use the site (see our Cookie Policy).

3. Why we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and provide a quote.
• To arrange and carry out work you've asked us to do.
• To keep a record of enquiries in case a message doesn't reach us some other way.
• To understand, in general terms, how the website is used and whether it's working well.
• To protect the website and our inbox from spam and abuse.

4. Lawful basis

We process your enquiry details because it's necessary to take steps at your request before providing a quote or carrying out work, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries sent to us. Optional analytics cookies are only used with your consent.

5. How the quote form works

When you submit the quote form, the details are sent straight to our own inbox by email, and a backup copy is stored in our database (provided by Supabase) in case the email doesn't arrive. If you choose "Send via WhatsApp", the same details also open a pre-filled WhatsApp message from your own device. We don't use your enquiry details for marketing unless you separately ask us to.

6. Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and handle enquiries, each acting under their own terms:

• Cloudflare: hosts the website and provides Turnstile, the spam-prevention check on the form.
• Supabase: stores a backup copy of form submissions.
• Resend: delivers the enquiry notification email to us.
• Google Analytics: only if you accept optional cookies, provides anonymised website usage statistics.

We don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

7. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry details for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide a quote, or complete any work agreed, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up questions or disputes. We remove old enquiries that didn't lead to work within a reasonable time.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can object to how it's used. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your information.

9. Security

We use reputable providers (Cloudflare, Supabase, Resend) that apply their own security measures to protect information in transit and storage. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information (such as financial or medical details) through the general enquiry form.
