Soft or spongy boards, rust-stained fixings and green algae are early warning signs. A quick inspection each spring catches most problems before they become a safety issue.
Cracked fascias and sagging gutters quietly let water into the roofline. Left too long, a simple swap becomes a much bigger repair bill.
From stripping old treads back to fitting the final carpet, a staircase renovation is done in stages, and each one matters for a lasting finish.
